state that Jesus was not born on December 25 but on June 21 and six years earlier than that. And St. Luke mentioned the angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah church minister, father of San Juan Bautista. Also mentions that the shepherds saw the star of Bethlehem when grazed by sheep. In winter they are sheltered from the intense cold. Herod ruled until his death, the year 4 BC. The census of Julius Caesar, which obliged to go out and find Joseph and Mary inn in Bethlehem, was between 8 and 6 BC
So that is why he mentions the date of his birth in December. It probably had some moments of peace, tranquility and family meetings to help assess (a traditional half and half acceptance Church) and to tax this as the ideal date for the birth of the Son of God-made-man.
